In 1991, ECI was purchased by Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding (MES) as a subsidiary.
Since their start-up, ECI has grown from servicing only the local Baton Rouge area to providing engineering solutions for clients all over the globe. As a company, ECI continues to work towards maintaining its local and international reputation for project execution and quality.
In 2016, ECI completed the acquisition of United Kingdom-based, Simon Carves Engineering, Ltd. Since 1878, Simon Carves Engineering, Ltd. has been recognized as the world’s leading specialist engineering contractor for low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA).
